French starlet Morgan Schneiderlin may become the next young Gunner in January.
“I have heard about Arsenal’s interest in the press, and that is very exciting to be honest,” Schneiderlin told Setanta Sports. “But my agent is currently on holiday so I have not had a chance to speak with him.”
Schneiderlin currently plays for Championship side Southampton, having made ten appearances in the first team this season. He has also played for France at every youth level.
Though an exciting prospect, Schneiderlin is not a signing to fortify the squad this season. That honor may be St. Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi, more likely to move now that former Arsenal scout Damien Comolli has rejoined the French club as sporting director.
