Bradley Summons Five Euro-Based Americans for National Team Duty

freddy-adu-monacoU.S. National Team coach Bob Bradley will call on five European-based players for Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier against Guatemala.

The lucky saps making the midweek trek are Freddy Adu (AS Monaco), Jozy Altidore (Villarreal), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Brad Guzan (Aston Villa) and Troy Perkins (Valerenga).

The U.S. should field an experimental side, with many of the experienced European-based internationals withheld, because the match is meaningless and flying back and forth from Europe midweek is just nutty.
